What we collect
- Email address — only if you enter it to extend the free daily limit or make a purchase. We use it to send the study material you asked for and, at most, occasional product updates. Unsubscribe with one click in any email.
- Access code cookie (
ef-lic) — set when you unlock full access, so the member area recognises your browser. It contains only your code, is HttpOnly, and expires after 90 days. - Study progress — answers, mock exam scores and daily counts are stored in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device and we cannot see them. Clearing site data erases them.
- Usage analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation to count page views and see which exam pages and buttons are used. It sets Google's
_gacookies. We do not send it your email address or answers. - Server logs — standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp), kept for security and troubleshooting and rotated automatically.
What we do not do
- No selling or renting of personal data, and no advertising trackers of our own.
- No account or password: there is nothing to breach beyond an email address and a code.
Payments
Purchases are handled by our merchant of record on its own checkout page. It collects the billing details needed to process the payment and issue a receipt, under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and the purchase status so we can deliver your access code; we never see your card number.
Where data lives
Our servers are hosted in the European Union. Email is sent through a transactional email provider that processes it on our behalf.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you (in practice: your email address and purchase record). Write to [email protected]. Residents of the EU/UK and California have additional statutory rights, which we honour.
Children
The service is intended for adults preparing for a professional certification exam and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will note the new date above and, where we hold your email, tell you.
