What changed
7 April 2025: five task domains, not five clinical ones
The National Registry rebuilt the EMT cognitive exam around the 2023 Basic Level Support Practice Analysis. The exam is now weighted by job task: Scene Size-up and Safety 15-19%, Primary Assessment 39-43%, Secondary Assessment 5-9%, Patient Treatment and Transport 20-24%, Operations 10-14%.
That is not the old split by Airway, Cardiology, Trauma, Medical and Operations, and most free question sets online are still built on it. Every question here is tagged to one of the 28 job tasks in the current outline, so your weakest task shows up as a task, not as a vague subject.
You only ever see a number if you fail: a 100-1500 scale with 950 marked as the passing point. Pass and the National Registry sends no breakdown at all. The mocks here report on that same scale, so you see the distance to the standard before test day instead of after it.
